i love my medicine posting! :)
love the intelletualness of it all...the fact that we actually have to think things through in terms of processes instead of figuring out the anatomy of the human body hurhur :)although there really is a LOT to study haha sighs...but i love it still! :)
and the best part of it is definitely our fantastic tutor, prof erle lim! haha tutorials are so much fun, not only cos we really learn how to think things through and it gives our brains a great workout, but also because of all the bantering that goes on hurhur :) we're actually doing a great job of deflecting all the stuff that comes our way, especially with jeremy trying his hardest to outspeak him hurhur :) and poor weixin having to answer to the name of "danger girl" (apparently cos it helps erle lim remember her name better since it sounds like weixian in chinese haha sighs). and sheryl being called "wildgirl" and "nel" and a thousand and one other things. and with jeremy being paired up with liwei after their ahem examination of each other with shirts off hurhur :) i love my cg :) so many beautiful memories already in this short 3 months we've spent together, wish this would never have to end. but all good things come to an end sighs, and this is no exception i guess. will miss the erle-ings so much!
oh and we met our ex-patient from AH the other day at NUH! we were having lunch at Kent Ridge wing when a familiar face approached us and said hi to us! really really sweet and it just melted my heart to know that our patients do actually remember us! just the other day, we met another of my patients from AH who came to NUH for his chemotherapy, and he identified us before we even saw him! i think this part of med sch life is one of the most rewarding parts - that patients at the end of it all, still make the effort to say hi even though we go to them and examine them with our inexperienced hands and give them trouble and everything else. really really really happy to see how our old patients are doing now, and both of them look well, so that's good :)
