i love Alexandra hospital!! and i absolutely love the surgical team i'm attached to :) all the doctors are so nice and helpful...from the nice and super helpful HO Paul all the way up to the consultant and assc consultant. gosh. really quite humbled by their own humility...that they bother about us at all, and volunteer to give us tutorials that aren't even scheduled in our timetables! and them wanting us to really be part of their team, and making us feel at home with them. not to mention how smart they are, and how impressed we all are when dr mak and dr tsu jen tell us about what is going on with each patient, and the caring way in which they treat their patients. :) really really loving my posting a lot, can't wait for next week when they promised to give us fresh cases to clerk and examine and present to them during ward rounds :) and my cg's a blast too :) all of them are such nice pple, and make the time spent in hospitals extra fun! :) love it love it love it, however overwhelmed by the amount of reading we all have to do haha sighs :)
clerked this really cute patient today, an elderly gentleman :) weixin and i had so much fun talking to him, cos he had an innocence that really just tugged at our heartstrings, though we felt quite sad too when he talked about how lonely he was. and he was so happy when the nurse from his nursing home and 2 girls doing their comm service came all the way to the hospital to visit him, his eyes really just brightened up immediately :) hope us going back to visit him tmr will bring a smile to his face too :)

the hols have been great :) esp the last week where i managed to meet up with different groups of friends :) but must say that i'm quite excited about getting back to school and seeing evelyn again and the rest of my new cg! :)
shopping with brenda the other day was so fulfilling! hahaha it was speed shopping day, 6 pieces of clothing in 2 hours hurhur...so glad i don't have to go back and shop for another two months or so? *grinses* shall resupply my closet for the next posting in two months time! :) and it was great to see her and talk to her again after so long, and it HAS been really long!
settlers with the og was fun! even though we spent most of our time learning to play weird german games hurhur that were just too intellectually stimulating for our fried brains (haha perhaps i speak for myself *grinses*)...it was great seeing us altogether again! not many chances these days, so it seems extra special each time we meet up. feel so blessed to have this wonderful group of friends that are just so dependable and are always there for one another even when we're separated by school and all. really really thankful for them :)
cycling at ubin with leo, wenbo, jp, wai seng and their two other friends yesterday was fun!!! haha it was my first time at ubin, and i wasn't sure whether i could tackle the numerous slopes and dirt tracks with my lousy cycling skills, but it wasn't that bad after all! with my 3 dollar bicycle that had one set of malfunctioning gears, i had to pedal like my life depended on it whenever we approached a slope hurhur...wahhh it was great exercise man :) woke up this morning and every part of my body was aching hahaha...i'm in dire need of more exercise hurhur :) lunch was great too! we ordered quite a variety of food and it was quite good on the whole! hee it suddenly poured the last part of our trip though...the poor guys were all drenched :( it was a great experience, would love to go back again! :)
and alvin's and zongxian's party yesterday was also fun! hurhur The Establishment was indeed successful...congrats and credits to them for their hard work :) it was great seeing the usual bunch again, and us having the usual fun, mamboing around in zongxian's basketball court in his backyard hurhur...missed them all, glad i got the chance to meet up with all of them again before school started :)
and yaaaaaay! shane and yihan are coming back to singapore again! miss them and can't wait to see them again and catch up! haha sighs only see them a few times a year these days, so these times are even more precious :) hurhur yihan already agreed to come to sch and sit in for our lectures hahaha...gosh i can be so evil sometimes *grinses*
clinics and sch tmr! yaaaaaay :) though not looking forward to a day that ends at 9pm though :( BUT seeing everyone again will make up for it definitely! :)
