and yet again. AGAIN. just when will all this ever end. perhaps i was an optimist after all. but i feel myself slowly being dragged towards the chains of pessimism, and i don't like it at all. i want so much to remain as i was. to believe that when one says something, one does mean it and act upon it. i don't think i believe in that anymore.
a rollercoaster ride. too much of it can make you sick in the stomach. perhaps the trick is in knowing when to get off the ride.

gosh just got back from a fantabulous family gathering at Noble House to celebrate my grandma's birthday :) one of the best we ever had!!! just completely filled with fun and laughter and love. i've never loved my family more. :) more on it after the CA on mon hahaha :)
put my itunes on shuffle, and it immediately went to our Vocal Exploits recordings of Africa and A Mile in My Shoes. so wonderfully and absolutely beautiful, i swear it almost brought tears to my eyes, listening to krishna's heart-melting-just-touches-you-to-the-bottom-of-your-soul voice and adeline's beautiful rendition and sicheng's talented beatbox-ing, and the rest of us doing whatever we were supposed to do. and i'm suddenly filled with this longing to be part of it again, and i'm missing chorale so so much. i think i didn't appreciate it enough, till you listen to parts of your past, and the wave of longing just sweeps me away oh so quickly, leaving me breathless and a little regretful. sudddenly i wish i was back in LT 4, holed up there for the afternoon and the big part of the evening preparing pieces for SYF. to be backstage at VCH with butterflies in my tummy just before the start of the concert. or that i was back in RJ on a sunday practising for alumni items and meeting up with the seniors and juniors. i wouldn't miss this year's alumni item for the world. :)
