one more day, and back to school and a month's worth dose of the kids! :) it's been a great one-month rest *beams* had a fantastic past two days at staff retreat...hurhur it was quite hilarious seeing the teachers at my table get ready for teabreaks and lunch - practically like getting ready for a 100metre sprint hurhur *grinses* wah the food was sooooo ultimately sinful, i can't even bear to say what there was...but i must :) lots and lots of delicious stuff! like chilli crabs, chicken, fish, beef (all cooked in different ways), sashmi!! sushi, desserts like cake! creme brule! honey apple crumble with vanilla sauce oh this was my absolute favourite *beams* and ice-cream and pancakes and brownies and apple tarts and oh you get the drift *grinses* and all these were in one buffet lunch for two consecutive days! gosh thinking about it just makes me feel the guilt oh so deeply :)
yesterday's chinese outing had a rather successful turnout! haha poor ian was the rose among the thorns though, poor thing *grinses* so great to see laoshi again, she's still as enthu as ever, while all of us were drooping with fatigue. and of course darling weiqi! missed you so much while you were away dear, must catch up with you again sometime over dinner! :) great to see everyone happy and excited about what lies ahead :)
church today was fun too :) love my small group, everyone's so nice! and the facilitators are wonderful too, to take so much time off their own schedules to meet us every week..really admire their dedication and devotion. want to do something for the church, but i'm a little ambivalent about going back to sing for the choir there, not because i wouldn't love doing so (i would!) but because i enjoyed the prayer and praise service so much i'll find it difficult to move back to the traditional one hurhur. :) haha i guess i'll see how it goes and what God has planned for me :) today's class was such an enlightening one, dr aw was superbly eloquent and i was so impressed by his track record *grinses* and the humour! hurhur had a fun one-hour sitting there listening to him speak...hope he'll be one of the lecturers in med fac too! then lectures would be so much more interesting :)
i absolutely cannot wait to start school, with me as the student that is :) 1 aug!! *beams*
