phew another week gone...such a tiring week, especially with all the marking piled up over the week (but! i'm going to finish it sooooon :)) some days my boys just drive me crazy...but the girls are so sweet they more than make up for them...giving me sweets (*grinses* did u know there's a new sweet on the market called monster sweet that turns one's lips, tongue and teeth a bright red colour!), stickers (hurhur sheesh) and offering to buy me lunch cos they know i don't have time to get it myself (which i of course rejected, but so sweet of them to offer!). i think the best part of school is when i walk them out of the classroom, and see them smile at me and say "bye miss thain!" and my heart constricts with happiness. such angels they are. like today! was walking out of school and my kids had just finished their chinese enrichment class, so suddenly i heard "ms thain ms thain it's ms thain!", looked up and saw my kids running towards me, even the boys that i had just lectured that day (and so many other days hurhur). gosh the feeling's so wonderful it's indescribable. *beams*

hurhur k i'm really looking forward to next week when i'm less stressed out over interviews and can have more time to catch up with old friends who i miss so very much! *beams* you guys are angels in my life too :)

glad i finally made up my mind on certain matters, and i thank God that my prayers were answered almost immediately. :)

up to my neck in work, with all the marking, corrections, learning circle, file-checks, admin work and planning the eng, maths and science field trips (that's 3 separate trips if you're wondering hurhur). never knew pri school kids were so busy, or rather primary school teachers *grin* but the kids are a definite plus point in my daily routine. not forgetting the coincidences, surprises and absolute perfection that do most to brighten up my days in school *beambeams* :)

good news is i finally got an amplifier! bad news is that the earpiece is broken, and i have to hold it up when i'm talking, put it down when i need to write on the board, and when that happens, the microphone never fails to start BLARING and i cringe (yes in front of the kids hurhur) and try frantically to place it in such a way that interference (haha this brings back ahem treasured memories of physics wave lectures *grin*) doesn't occur. sheesh. then after writing on the board, i walk back and pick up that mouthpiece and speak into it again. sometimes i just give up and use my already noticeably absent voice. plus the fact that the amplifier is a ugly greyish white colour, and i refuse to wear it around my waist because it looks like the ahem support thing pregnant women wear on their tummys to protect the baby from trauma. sheesh. :)

and the things kids talk about these days! just that day i caught them poring over a dictionary over ahem body parts (u know what i mean)...don't know whether to applaud their ahem scientific inquisitiveness or be appalled heh *grin* and their language! gosh some of them are using words i've never used in my life, and hopefully will never ever use! sheesh, really frightening man.

ooh called up mrs lim sze yi today...so wonderful to hear her voice again! she's still such a sweetheart...was talking to her about her son in pri 3 (cos i'm teaching pri 3 so got some hurhur work-related interest) and she was lamenting about how there was so much to teach him, and i was agreeing with her that she should definitely spend more time teaching him cos the teacher can only do the very basics and foundation..haha sighs, so great to hear her again *beams*

good friday coming up...that day during the kids' chapel period, they were showing a videoclip animation on the cruxification of Jesus, and it almost brought tears to my eyes. the way he carried the block of wood on his back and stumbled up the hill, the way he was hung on the cross, bleeding. on an offnote, really enjoy being in a christian school again, it's been too long. :) enjoy the kids' morning devotion, chapel services, song sessions and so many other things. :)

at least i now know that nothing's impossible. and i thank God for showing me that, even though He did it in such a roundabout way that took what seemed too long for me *grin* at least now whenever i think back, i'll know that and draw strength from it. *beams*

* someday when i'm awfully low
when the world is cold
i will feel a glow just thinking of you
and the way you look tonight
and the laugh that wrinkles your nose
it touches my foolish heart *

it's been forever since i actually published something i've written here, and somehow the frantic typing on the leyboard seems much more foreign to me (hurhur so out of practice i am)...

my kids are really sweet...but still, rather out of control man. any suggestions to "tame" them are very very VERY welcome. but still, i would love to be like a sis to them instead of a teacher...just can't bear to scold them sighs...and all of them are so helpful it's rather hilarious. a simple question of "who wants to help me give out this/that" has about 10-15 kids running up to me, and the rest standing up in their seats shouting "me! me!" *grin* okies i'm so tickled by all of them, but have to appear to be otherwise and get them back into their seats. sheesh. honestly, being the teacher, i.e. the bad guy, is not a fun job. i'd rather see them smile.

but they're so great in that they don't hold grudges! at least most don't, as far as i can tell now. 20 minutes before class ends, there're these two little boys (shan't mention names in case this gets chanced upon, however unlikely it might be) who will always come up to me and ask me whether i want my things to be brought to the staff room. hurhur talk about being enthu seriously *grin* most of the time, i can manage carrying my file back to the staff room, but they look so disappointed when i say i'm fine that i've given up saying that and let them bring my ahem one file and pencil-case back to the staff room after class. *laughs* and there's this other little girl, who was ahem telling me i should punish them more. *roll eyes* haha sheesh man! kids are so cute...really don't know what they're thinking.

i'm so glad there's a new relief teacher who just came into the school too...at least we poor little girls can crack our minds on how to handle the kids together! *grin* haha plus today was a fantastic day! *beams* really admire all the teachers who manage to keep the kids in check.

and i don't doubt anymore that there really is a reason for everything that happens, and you just have to wait patiently for that reason to appear before you :)
