sigh. here's another one that's really quite accurate. i think. click here to go to this site.

ISFJ
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok. You are sympathetic, loyal, considerate, and conscientious. You will go to any amount of trouble, when it makes sense to you, to help those in need. You are responsible and enjoy being needed. You are down-to-earth and realistic and like others who are quiet and unassuming. You absorb and enjoy using a large number of facts.

You like situations where the rules are well defined and where traditions are to be upheld. You focus on providing practical help and services for others and for the organizations you serve. You have a strong work ethic.

You can be painstakingly accurate and systematic in handling tasks...you're conservative with traditional values...quiet and modest...tactful and supportive of friends and family...

You are often self-effacing in getting the job done, and are willing to make necessary sacrifices, especially for your family. You are at your best quietly providing assistance and making sure things are in order.

You have a few close friends, don't like disharmony, and try to keep cooperation at all costs...you'll stay close friends with that tight circle for a LONG time...worry a lot...

You need to have things organized in a way you think works.. you cannot work when things are out of order...when things are in disarray, you have to reorganize 'em immediately....you get involved with leisure ONLY after all the work is done...

You have a tendency to put off relaxing because there's too much work to be done...you enjoy time with your family...you fall in love hard when you fall. You place a high value on marriage and family...you seek out a partner and feel unfulfilled without one. you most likely are a good student because you diligently follow through in your work to please your teachers.....you learn best by DOING...

You tend not to be the center of attention...often appear serious...others like trying to get a laugh or a smile out of you...you get angry or bitter when scorned...but you keep it inside...

Possible blindspots: because you are SOOOO in the present, you have a hard time seeing possibilities or consequences of your actions...can become mired in the daily grind...don't forget to express your bottled-up feelings...you can be taken advantage of....could be pessimistic about the future because it's unknown and you rely on past experiences.....you want to plan too much.

hahaha. *grinses* this is hilarious. it's from the stanford university debating webpage...a quiz designed to see whether one is suited for stanford debate or not. the things in brackets are what comes out if u click on the option. enjoy =)

1. Which is the easiest argument to defend?
North Korea has food. (Because I hear the rice lines are not that bad...)
Pakistan is a democracy. (Yeah, with a voting population of ONE!)
Russia is a functioning democracy. (Yes, if you consider the Mafia a business enterprise.)
Stanford is better than Berkeley. (RIGHT!)

2. What do you say when an opponent asks for evidence?
Evidence, what evidence? (NO! Feigning incompetance LOSES points!)
Quote a statistic you memorized from the Economist. (You Loser! Who has time for that?)
Apologize for your imcompetance. (You would be admitting defeat.)
Invent a statistic and reference the Economist. ((You have no scruples. We like that...)

3. What do you do when the timekeeper calls time and you have not finished your arguments?
Ignore him and continue speaking (Yes! YOU are in control of the room. )
Throw a flowpad at the impertinent child (DO you really think that this will win you points?)
Apologize for exceeding your time and then sit down (NO! Remain assertive and confident.)
Proceed to cry and beg the judges forgiveness (There is no crying in Debate!)

4. My personality is best described as:
Drama Queen (Sorry, we do not need any more scandal...)
Chill Dude (Cool...)
Class Clown (We need more funny people!)
Teacher's Pet (Sorry... )

5. When looking for case ideas do you peruse:
The New York Times (Are you kidding? That is so cliche!)
The Economist (Only if there is nothing better to read on the plane... )
Entertainment Weekly (Yes! Other debaters are ignorant of pop-culture references.)
The International Herald Tribune (Are you 40?)

6. While politicking with other teams, whom do you try to meet?
the President (Why, so you can talk about his political aspirations?)
the Treasurer (Why, so he can complain to you how his team does not have any money?)
the Social Butterfly (Yes, so you can find out where the party is!)
the Novice (Planning on climbing UP the social ladder?)

7. You find yourself at the airport without a ticket. What do you do?
Extort pizza from a nearby vendor and wait for another flight (A poor use of your persuasive abilities.)
Drive home (Admitting defeat a bit early? AND you owe the debate team 500$ for your unused ticket.)
Hitchhike across the country (SKETCH!)
Flirt with the flight attendent and persuade her to sit you in First Class (Yes, you are a suave debater. You should be able to persuade anyone. )

8. A reporter comes to talk to you from a rival college's newspaper. What do you do?
Make obscene comments and tell them you are from Stanford (You are moronic, are you not?)
Make obscene comments and tell them you are from another school (Yes, hilarious joke! )
Describe in detail the recent allegations against your fellow team members (Perhaps not such a good idea...)
Decline to comment (Yes, clearly the best choice.)

test!

Your Personality: Logical Love
This is a very dynamic combination, for you want security in life and are more than willing to go out and fight for it. You are highly motivated to succeed, and your practical and logical approach to all situations means that you usually come out on top.

You believe in the values of discipline and self-motivation, hard work and determination. You have little time for those who are not willing to "put their noses to the grindstone" and follow suit. Romantic play and creative flights of fancy are frivolous wastes of time in your mind. You are not particularly emotional and giving, and when you love it is for good, well-thought-out reasons. Try to set aside some time for dreaming! All work and no play, as the old saying goes...

hahaha. what work?!

and yet another test.

Your Mood: At the moment you want to reach out and make contacts with others. You are feeling friendly inside and others around you will unconsciously pick up on this. You want to connect with people and be sociable. At the moment part of you is restless, you want to experience life, and are not in a stay at home type of mood. Theres a feeling of wanting to be out there, or needing to be involved in the pulse of life. . . .

Your Present Situation: You really need to take time out at the moment, your life is proving tiring and you seem to need to be on the lookout at all times. There is a real danger of wasting your energy, seek out someone who can help you to calm down and relax. You could do worse than take a romantic weekend break to help you revitalize yourself.Your current situation is causing you a great deal of angst. Somehow you have become over-involved in something that is leading to feelings of stress and doubt. You are at risk of feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. . . .

Your Conflicts: You have no conflicts at the present time . . .

okie...everyone can tell how bored i am...sigh.

haha. once a debater, always a debater.
i was just talking to my friend who's studying law now (heh, val? that's the one with messy hair and who's tall. the one i wanted to intro to you *grin*), and i asked him whether he knew some of the old debaters i roughly know. and apparently, paul tan (one of the world debaters) is his senior by one year. so during a mock court session, instead of referring to the judges as "your honour", he started to go "Ladies and Gentlemen" *grin*. worse still, he stopped at "ladies", and all the judges were male. heh. okie, quite irrelevant, and NOT funny, but haha, I found it quite hilarious. =)

and don't u think it's so cool to find out people always seem to have mutual acquaintances? it doesn't seem to be a coincidence, more like a rule of life? =)

hmm. chem pract was...not as good as i hoped it would be. there are some practs that u do feeling confident, and sure of what you are actually doing and finding for, then there are others that you just follow the instructions on the paper blindly, hoping your observations are fairly accurate, and will gain you that mark. unfortunately, today's chem pract was the latter. ah well. but i guess it was better than bio: i only missed out like a few hundred observations *grin* no but really, at least the titration was fine. iron (ll) sulpahte and potassium permanangate? sigh. did that once in sec 3, and again in prelims. not that it makes a difference. all titrations are the same.

two down, one to go. =)

gee. i realise how absolutely boring my blog is. it used to be constant ramblings about debate, and now, about O-levels. hmm, well, what else is there to talk about these days?

Question of the day: Was bio pract bad, or was it bad?

sorrie guys. hate to whine (actually i like it *grin*), but hrmph. fuming mad over my own carelessness that lost me precious precious marks. and apparently, the tchs teacher told them that IF we failed to draw only 1/3 or 1/4 of the horrible kiwi and cucumber, you lose marks for accuracy, which brings to a grand total of 2 marks in all. which i so obviously lost. *sigh*
not to mention the curve that transformed into a line, only on MY graph paper. well, don't that beat it all.
oh and btw, u noe the whole experiment on the potato strips? well, it's exactly what tchs did for their prelims pract. sigh. and it was the only school we didn't get the papers for. *sings* "it was meant to be....the absence of the marks for me" *grin*

ooh. i'm feeling all happy, without any reason whatsoever, esp after pract. in this bubbly and chatty mood all of a sudden. =)

hmm. open house wasn't as boring as i thought it might be. unfortunately xiz, i enjoyed rj's open house much much more than hc. =)

i'm glad i went for open house. of both JCs yesterday. cos it helped me really decide what school i AM putting down as 1st choice. without a doubt now, it's gonna be RJ. i feel that RJ has a more vibrant environment, from what i could tell during the open house. HC on the other hand has a beautiful campus, and a beautiful environment, BUT it seems a little *too* orderly, if u know what i mean. everything was so neat, arranged in booths and such, that it was kind of a little freaky *grin* and the people there are not very out-spoken, or perhaps i'm banking my conclusions on too small a sample size (studying bio, as u can probably tell). when i was asking one of the RJ councillors, (aka Dalglish, whom i freaked out by recounting his "life" history after realising who he was..after 5 mins), he went on about the whole council system, but when i was trying to talk to the HC councillor who was our tour guide, he was so quiet! never seen a councillor so shy before! gee. *shakes head* so i guess, in the end, the whole school culture thing has pulled me towards RJ.

When all the world is a hopeless jumble,
And the raindrops tumble all around,
Heaven opens a magic lane.
When all the clouds darken up the skyway
There's a rainbow highway to be found
Leading from your window pane
To a place behind the sun
Just a step beyond the rain

Somewhere over the rainbow,
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of once,
In a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow,
Skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me...
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
Way above the chimney tops,
That's where you'll find me...
Somewhere...
Over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly,
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then oh why can't I?
If all those little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow...
Why .. oh .. why .. can't I?

sigh. everyone's at vjc open house, and i'm at home.

hmm. a quick recount of yesterday. *beam* went to LIPS again, this time with 7 other people: val, ad, sunny, jen, crystal, kai and hon. reached there at 2.30, and asked whether they still sold set lunches (cos it's cheaper) only to find that they didn't. then kai and hon went to..erm...clarify *grin*, and we found out that it was good they didn't sell set lunches, there was a better offer! 50% discount for all food and drinks! did some quick calculations, and found that it was soo soo cheap. so here's what we ordered: (i have the receipt with me)
1) mashed potatos
oooh. absolutely lovely. smooth texture of the potatos, lots and lots of gravy, tres tres delicieux!
2) meat lover pizza
crust was thin and crispy, lots of ingredients, a good one too!
3) cream potato chicken breadpot
lala. was very good too. the bread was hot and crispy, and the "broth" was thick and creamy! =)
4) mushroom and ham pasta
5) seafood extra spaghetti
both were good. nothing special, just spaghetti, but only about $6 for a LARGE plate of spaghetti. that's the attraction. filling too.
6) chicken oven baked rice
the cheese on top of the rice was fantastic! really really really good! but $7 for rice is a little weird. nevermind...=)

the food alone only cost us $4.50 each. argh!!! such a good deal, and all of us ate until we were super super full! =)
oh and of cos, we mustn't forget deserts. no discounts here, but heck.
ordered apple crumble with ice-cream and cheesecake with strawberry icecream. delicious. $2.50 per person. quite ex considering, but =)

oh AND kai found a piece of steel wool, coming from the washing sponge (u noe, that kind!) in the spaghetti. we were all quite shocked, and decided to act typically singaporean, and complain. so we told the person there, who told her boss, and they sort of us laughed it off! didn't even apologise! *hrmph* for that reason, i dun feel like patronising LIPS again, but oh, the cheap food beckons. =( me has no integrity. hrmph. the least they could do was to give us a free desert. *grin* but they didn't. qi1 fu4 xiao3 hai2 zi.

and because of that incident, i had a weird dream. i dreamt i was eating at this place, and i found a piece of PINK steel wool in my food. i swear i DID dream that. sigh.

i really think this is so sad. leaving, that is. like today for example. mrs kwan walked out of class, and i was just looking at her back disappearing out of the door, thinking to myself, she's really done a lot for us. i mean, it's amazing how i can do a-maths as it is, dun u think? totally new concepts and stuff. aniwae, yeah, was looking at her leaving the class, and at the very last moment, she turned back and looked at us, the whole class. well, it was very sad for me. and i would think for her too. i feel that we should have said something to her, a word of thanx perhaps? after all, we did exchange some parting words with other teachers, so why not her? =(

argh!!!! french orals were terrible! for people who have heard me whining a few thousand times already, ignore me. the rest, pls continue to drown me with ur sympathy. *grin*

seriously, it was horrible. the passage was quite a difficult one, and in the middle of my reading, i just blanked out. totalement. so there i was, reading one whole line word by word, hesitating after every word, me being unable to pronounce them (the words). argh.

and wow. wasn't oral the best (pls get the sarcasm). got asked about singapore's education system, one of my favourite topics. seriously, it is. but NOT in french. so there they were, asking me what i thought about the education system, and prompting me to talk about the disadvantages as well, for i was rambling on about how much i loved our education system. =) THEN, the killer question: Does our education system make us responsible citizens, or merely help us to earn money? sigh. went on then about social studies (fortunately, i checked that word up the day b4), and how it promotes racial harmony, which i could not figure out how to say in french, but managed to literally translate it (fortunately, it was right *phew*). argh. all in all, it has been a terrible day. i'm still feeling really sick. the effect of the panadol has worn off, but i refuse to take another pill. c'est trop dangereux - l'addiction.

aww. farewell assembly today. though not really farewell, since we're still having lessons next week. no one cried, but we probably will on the last day of school. took many lovely pictures with my NON-digital camera *hrmph* but yes! finally only 4 more pictures and i can develop the roll of film! =)

hahaha. went to watch "eight women" or "huit femmes" with val, ad and ili today. how should i put it? it was...weird. damn weird. and i'm sure all of them agree with me as well. the plot was well...somewhat common, what with mystery and "murder", but none of us could guess who the "murderer" was, since there was in fact, no murderer. (haha...BIG spoiler *grin*) aniwae, was quite fun watching with you guys...what with val going.."eeks" and "ahh" everytime there was this "love scene" between these two pairs of lesbians in the show. sigh. what can i say. the show is french. =)

then spent about 3 hours at cafe cartel, where i attempted to finish this huge slice of chocolate fudge cake. obviously, i couldn't..and none of them wanted it either...so this woman from the cafe kept giving me weird looks, since about 1/7 of the cake was just sitting on the plate, while me and val did....PHYSICS *grin* for 2 hours! yay! haha...
